Recent cultural event - Rahki/Rakhri

A few days ago there was a cultural event in indian society.
It is Rahki/Rakhri which reflects the sweet and sour relationship of brother and a sister. Though brothers and sisters share and enjoy the bond of love between them throughout the year, but Rakhi is the day when they get an opportunity to express their tender love and feelings for each other.

On the day of Rakhi festival, the sister ties Rakhi on the wrist of her brother and both make prayer to God for the well being of each other. In return, brothers make promise to take care of his sister under all circumstances. Usually, brothers gift something to the sister/cousin to mark the occasion but i usally give my cousin $50 which for most relationships.
R . A . K . H . I
R : Relationship
A : Affection
K : Knitting together
H : Him (Brother) & Her (Sister)
I : Interminably

The image above represents the way people might celebrate Rahki if they are geographically distanced from each other and still have some love for each other in their relationship.

india facts

India (Bharat) is the home to different types of people. It is situated in South Asia, bordering the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, also it is stuck between Pakistan,Nepal and China. Its size by comparison to USA is a bit more than one-third in land mass but India has the second largest population in the World which is 1,166,079,217.This figure may seem massive to the standards of the world because it would take two x India to make it a country which could sustain its population.
